🗓️ Meeting Dates: Mark your calendars for Sundays on May 5, 19, June 2, 16, 30, and July 14. Our sessions run from 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM, held at the Rock Island County Fairgrounds in East Moline.
🎪 Fair Week Participation: As a club member, you'll have the exciting opportunity to participate in the Mercer or Rock Island County 4-H Goat Show during fair week!
🌟 Learn Essential Life Skills: At the Goat SPIN Club, it's not just about goats; it's about building essential life skills. Through hands-on experience, you'll develop decision-making abilities, problem-solving skills, effective communication, and much more.
🐐 Bring Your Goat or Lease One: Whether you have your own goat or need to lease one, we've got you covered! Learn how to judge, feed, manage, fit, and show goats alongside fellow enthusiasts.
🏡 Lease Options Available: Don't have a goat or live in town? No problem! You can lease a goat, and it'll be waiting for you at the fairgrounds during our meetings. But hurry, leases are limited!
🏆 Show Days: Show off your newfound skills at the Rock Island County Show on Friday, July 19th, or the Mercer County Show on Thursday, July 11th.
📝 Registration Details: Secure your spot by registering before April 29th. Youth ages 8 to 18 are eligible to participate. Costs vary: 4-H members pay $50 for the goat lease, while non-members pay a $20 4-H program fee plus the $50 goat lease. Payment for goat leases is made to the owner at the first meeting.
